Amazon Introduces 'Prime Reading'; Think Of It As Netflix For Books

Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN 0.26%'s Amazon Prime just got even better.

The e-commerce giant has been dominating recently, as it looks to provide even more value by increasing the benefits of its prime subscription service. On Wednesday, the company announced the launch of of Prime Reading, an unlimited, all you can read offering from a rotating selection of books, magazines, comics, for no additional cost.

Amazon is paying homage to its roots by offering prime members the ability to read as much as they like from a selection of over 1000 rotating top Kindle titles and the ability to explore current issues of premium digital magazines including Bon Appétit, National Geographic Traveler, People, Sports Illustrated, HGTV, Popular Mechanics, Golf Digest and Runner's World, among others.

"Prime is the best deal in the history of shopping and today it got even better," said Greg Greeley, vice president Amazon Prime. "Prime members can now enjoy an awesome selection of books including The Hobbit, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, The Man in the High Castle, plus magazines and more with Prime Reading — all for free on any device."


At last check, Amazon was up 1.25 percent at $844.48.
