Cel Spellman has revealed all about the on-stage mishap that he thought would end his acting career.

It's all part of his interview for Digital Spy's Confessions – and involves a big pair of novelty slippers. That's all we're saying...

To find out why the incident left Cel "shaking" and "crying", you'll have to hit play on our video!

The actor and DJ is currently starring in ITV's Cold Feet, airing on Monday nights at 9pm.

The 21-year-old, who plays the teenage son of James Nesbitt's Adam, told us that he's still not sure if the hit revival will be back (again) for more episodes.

"We don't quite know yet," he insisted. "But I would love for it to go again. Take me out of it and I do think it's a wonderful series, because there's nothing like it on television.

"There's some amazing telly out there, but at the moment you've got your period shows and your crime shows... not many things that deal with real life. So I think it's nice to have something on telly like that. I've got everything crossed."

Robert Bathurst – who plays pompous David on the show – also told us that he'd love to return for more series.

"As far as the characters are concerned, life goes on... and if life's going on in Cold Feet land, there's every reason why life should go on for another series.

"The show isn't a hit yet. It's been a hit [in the past] and we've got to see if it gains that status again. I have no idea if it will, but I personally think the new show's really strong."
