Based in Toronto, the Research Associate will be working directly with a Senior Analyst covering mining companies. This is an opportunity to play an integral role in the growth of our business. With our flat management structure, performance recognition and career flexibility, we offer a dynamic and rewarding environment in which to work. As a member of a highly ranked team, you will be involved in generating financial models and reports that assist in our institutional clients' investment decisions. You will help provide industry analysis, financial modelling, managing and building databases and generating reports and presentation materials.

 

Agreement
Qualifications

 

  • Have 1-2 years of relevant experience, Equity Research / mining industry preferred
  • Have a university degree in a relevant discipline (finance, accounting, or engineering degrees are preferred)

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas succinctly
  • Be highly numerate, with exceptional financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Have the ability to show initiative and take ownership of your work to create a quality product and be willing to work long hours to achieve your goals
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), Bloomberg and Factset
  • Have the ability to manage several projects concurrently and provide support to other members of the research team as required
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail, focus on speed and accuracy
  • Have an interest in the mining sector and a passion for research/capital markets
