BDNA’s Technopedia® is the world’s largest categorized repository of information on enterprise software and hardware. It represents the intellectual property treasure chest of BDNA, shared with customers, partners, and the broader IT community. Technopedia® content can be accessed easily – either from the web or within the enterprise. It categorizes and aligns over 500,000 software and 700,000 hardware products to deliver consistent, accurate, business relevant information. It contains over 87 million market data points such as product histories, software support levels, hardware dimensions, and power consumption. Technopedia® grows with over 2,000 new data points daily through the Technopedia® Data Factory to ensure Technopedia® is current and complete.

BDNA is a privately held company, experiencing very strong growth. We’re headquartered in Mountain View, California (U.S.A.). This role will be located in our Belfast, Northern Ireland (U.K.) office and will report into the Content Research Manager in Mountain View, California. This is an opportunity to join the Belfast team at an early stage and you will help form the culture of the office as it grows.

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related discipline is preferred although not necessary. Familiarity with the most recent trends in IT hardware and software will be looked on favourably.

·         Strong reading comprehension skills, able to understand information found on web pages, product documentation, technical and marketing articles and extract specific content quickly and accurately

·         Comfortable dealing with huge amount of data and able to organize them according to specific rules and patterns

·         Determined and persistent in the quest to find the highest quality content

·         Familiar and interested in technology industry and products

·         Quick leaner, able to understand and follow the rules that have been specified to collect the data

·         Good command of computer (Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office) and internet/online skills

·         Self-starter, willing to take initiative in solving various content problems

·         Strong interpersonal skills, a team player.
